Here at kolé, we’re a little bit obsessed with Jesmonite, so I wanted to delve into the properties and uses of Jesmonite, and get into why it's a game-changer for eco-conscious creators.

What is Jesmonite?

Initially developed as an alternative to fibreglass and cast concrete, Jesmonite has gained immense popularity due to its lightweight nature, durability, and remarkable versatility. When it can withstand that much water, it’s no surprise that kolé products are water resistant and will maintain their structural integrity for a long long time. It’s advised to keep products with cork bases off wet surfaces for an extended time however, simply as cork isn’t quite as hard wearing as Jesmonite!
